Grik Empire vs Holy Dominion

Let's say that things went a little differently in the Destroyerman universe. Basically sometime around 1930 a Grik Indiaman on western coast of Africa got blown off course and found itself along the Northeastern coast of South America. They made some charts and found a few villages to raid for provisions (and a couple of examples of their curious weapons) and eventually return to the Empire with word of this lush new land. Word gets to the Celestial Mother and as such she decides to postpone the hunt on the "The Prey that Got Away" and instead has the forces turn on the worthy prey across the Atlantic.

In a throwdown between the Grik Empire and the Holy Dominion, who would you root for and who would you expect to win?

There would be a lot of problems... crossing the Atlantic isn't the thing that Grik would like. They aren't very ocean-capable; they prefer to sail near coastlines.

The distances involved... the atlantic winds and storms... the fact that Grik warriors need to eat, and there isn't any supply point in the middle... Generally, i think, Dom's would be reasonably safe. And let's not forget the others - the New United States, the Republic of Real Peoples, the Empire... they may not like the Dom's, but chosing between them and Griks... "And all Christian realms of this world united under the red banners of Dominion")
