The Young Sea Officer’s Sheet Anchor, by Darcy Lever, originally published 1808, reprint 2000, 3ed Edition, Algrove Publishing Limited, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada: appendix 27 material added in 1854, gives weight and caliber of Naval ordnance, note difference between different countries in table 2, note also tube weighs and tube dimensions for US ordnance below table 2:

Author Taylor Anderson gave the following on his Technical blog: "the standard US 12pdr bore diameter was 4.62 [inch] 6pdr was 3.67 [inch]″
