Grikmobiles

I was thinking. The Grik have built at least hundreds of airships, each with five internal combustion engines (rudimentary as they are). If they do that, one thing that the Grik could do to improve their logistics on the ground is to take one of these engines, put it onto a modified wagon, hook it up to one of the axles, rig up some basic controls and thus make a simple car or truck. A bunch of these could move supplies across their empire to support their industry and their armies.

Unless they get Japanese help I doubt it.  The Grik would out sing Tevia TRADITION!

There could be a problem. The truck (at least capable of moving outside the really good road) aren't that simple to build - it required a lot of engineering. For current Griks, it's clearly too far. And, they didn't have as much liquid fuel as Alliance.

They could probably do better with steam-powered road engines. The steam engine are simpler to operate - you didn't need the reduction gears, ect.
